I was a local church pastor for 35 years and for 23 of those years I was a U.S. Army Chaplain. I was born and reared in New England and graduated from the University Of Maine. My masters degree is from Drew Theological Scool in Madison New Jersey. My wife, Lynn, and I have traveled extensively in the U.S. and are enthralled by the beauty of this great country. We summer in southern Michigan and winter in N. Ft. Myers, FL.
Since retiring in 2007 we have had the best of both worlds. We’ve been in Florida for nearly 20 years, but after retiring we left in our motor home each August. Recently we purchased a lake house in Michigan and are now officially snowbirds. We are active in both our northern church and southern church. I will share much about our community as I blog. Finding home and community is an important part of my writing
I’ve always enjoyed writing going back to college essays and term papers. While others struggled I’d sit down at the typewriter two days before it was due and crank out an A or B paper every time. Since retirement I’ve said l’m going to write and now I am doing it. In addition to this site you can sign up for my blog and you can follow me on Facebook at www.facebook/RMarshallWright.
